RISE of the Dead: HARD DOTD is BACK!

2015 was a much simpler time in the world of festivals—a time when festival goers had the opportunity of attending HARD Day of the Dead, which was one of our favorite Halloween events held in Southern California. Fans raved about how amazing DOTD was at its last event at the Pomona Fairplex, and how excited they were to attend next year’s, only to find out the haunting news that it wasn’t coming back.

Since then fans waited year after year to see if it’ll ever rise from the dead, and as soon as we all started losing hope, it has resurrected once again after two long, daunting years.

Since Insomniac’s full-on takeover of the HARD brand, they were proud to announce the return of Day of the Dead and back at the venue where it all began—Los Angeles’ State Historic Park!

…and to continue surprising fans, they release this MASSIVE LINEUP which totally makes up for the two year hiatus.

Listed as headliners is a LIVE set by JUSTICE and DIE ANTWOORD, followed by amazing artists such as Knife Party, Cashmere Cat and Shiba San! Also spotted on this lineup is b2b performances such as Lee Foss b2b Felix da Housecat and Rybo b2b Lubelski.

Back in June, DIE ANTWOORD made an announcement about their future album 27, featuring “27 songs and many collaborations with our favourite artists in the world,” as mentioned on Twitter, and since then they haven’t been seen on many festival lineups with the exception of some performances in Mexico this coming December. As of right now this will be their only US performance during the remainder of 2018 and we’re hoping to hear some new sounds off their upcoming record!

JUSTICE has been all over the world playing in countries such as Germany, Australia, Belgium, and so much more, and we’re so excited about their return in the US. They recently performed at Life is Beautiful and also have upcoming performances at both weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival.

KNIFE PARTY

Knife Party has also appeared in less festival lineups to focus on a new EP which producer Rob Swire confirmed during an AMA section on Reddit’s r/electronic post. Knife Party was also announced at another Halloween event called Freaknight, but we’re stoked about the return and hope to hear new sounds in this set as well!

Who are YOU excited to see from this crazy lineup for the return of DOTD? Tickets will go by fast so be sure to buy your passes when it goes on sale September 27 at 12pm PST!
