The Festival:
This year marks the sixth installment of Salt Lake City’s Das Energi Festival! This EDM dominant festival is located at the historical Great Saltair, one of Utah’s best concert venues! Das Energi takes place on the salt flats along the coast of the Great Salt Lake with a stunning view of the mountains across the horizon and beach access. I’m sure the sunsets here will be everything you expect and more. Every year, since its start in 2011, Das Energi has grown and evolved into one of Utah’s best music festivals! On top of this years stacked lineup, Das Energi features some of the countries best dancers, flow artists, art installations, live artists, and so much more scattered throughout the festival grounds! It’s going to be hard to experience everything in only two days! Unfortunately, this is not a camping festival so you will have to provide your own accommodations. Thankfully there are plenty of options in the Salt Lake City and surrounding areas!
The Music:
Das Energi Festival has once again put together a stellar lineup that will not disappoint! For two days in August these salt flats are going to come alive with music from some of the most talented DJs in the world. The Friday house heavy headliners with be KASKADE & Dillon Francis and the Saturday headliners will be deadmau5 & REZZ. I know I can’t wait to get weird with space mom again! This weekend there will also be a rare opportunity to catch a NGHTMRE B2B Snails set full of bass! Other than the headliners and special sets; Anna Lunoe, What So Not, Um.., Rusko, and 12th Planet are just a few of the DJs completing the lineup that you cannot miss! This weekend is shaping up to be a great one!
The Experience:
Energi Field and Synergi Field are two of the bigger stages providing plenty of room to get down with your friends. The Galactic Flats sit on the edge of the festival and housed a beach stage with some of the freshest sounds coming from it. Das Energi also has an indoor stage, Synergi Station, along with various refreshments available and merch vendors scattered across the festival grounds. On top of the unique stages here, Das Energi is full of incredible art installations! These installations are designed to stimulate your heart and add to the already breathtaking landscape around you. Another thing that add to this already exceptional experience are all of the V2 Performers! Each one of the performers have a hand made, curated costume that transforms them into living art installations ready to add to the energi of the festival! This festival truly is a unique experience that you do not want to miss out on!
