One of the oldest running music festivals in the world and the big sister to Tomorrowland will be returning to the Netherlands on August 25th and 26th. Celebrating 26 years of electronic dance music in the Netherlands, Mysteryland returns to the city Haarlemmermeer for an unforgettable weekend. The festival features over 300 artists spread out across 17 incredible stages with vendors, activities and art installations scattered among the festival grounds. Check out the full 2018 lineup here.
The two-day festival features a world-class lineup across 17 stages ranging from EDM to hardstyle and everything in between. Camping will extend the experience to three days with an exclusive opening party on the campgrounds. The multiple art installations and layout of the festival with trees surrounding the stages and water separating the areas help create an incredibly relaxing and unique vibe at each stage. With a lineup this impressive, it is almost impossible to tell where I’ll be. Here are my top five must-see acts of the weekend.
1. KSHMR
When: Saturday / Sunday
Where: Main Stage / Hardwell Presents Revealed
Kashmiri-Indian inspired DJ and producer KSHMR will be playing not once but twice at Mysteryland this year. The American born DJ draws inspiration from his roots to create a unique sound and magical atmosphere. Check out his latest track with Sidnie Tipton below.
2. AXWELL /\ INGROSSO
When: Saturday
Where: Main Stage
Swedish house duo Axwell /\ Ingrosso will be returning to the Mysteryland mainstage in 2018. After the recent release of their latest album as well as the iconic Swedish House Mafia reunion earlier this year, the duo has been unstoppable in the electronic dance world. 3. WILDSTYLEZ
When: Saturday
Where: Q-Dance Stage
Mysteryland is one of the only festivals where the Q-Dance stage is bigger than the main stage and for good reason! The Dutch absolutely love their hardstyle and picking a favourite from the Q-Dance lineup is almost impossible! My must-see set from this stage is none other than Dutch DJ and producer: Wildstylez. One of the pioneers of hardstyle and leading artists in the scene, Wildstylez has produced history-making tracks and continues to push the boundaries of the scene with his unique style of music. 4. ALY & FILA
When: Saturday
Where: Trance Energy Stage
This Egyptian trance duo will be bringing their future sound of Egypt to the Trance energy stage at Mysteryland this year. Their uplifting and euphoric sounds have brought them worldwide success and dubbed them elite legends of the trance world. Check out their latest track below.
DILLON FRANCIS
When: Sunday
Where: Yellow Claw Presents Barong Family
Known for his groundbreaking remixes and humorous visuals, American DJ and producer Dillon Francis will be playing at the Barong Family stage on Sunday. The playful producer combines his original tracks with the latest social media trends to create an entertaining set that leaves the crowd wanting more. Check out his latest track below.
