Suwannee Hulaween releases its lineup for 2018 that includes headliners ODESZA, Jamiroquai, Janelle Monae, and the String Cheese Incident. Even with a great set of headliners, the undercard includes artists such as Tipper, Gramatik, REZZ, TroyBoi, Emancipator Ensemble, OPIUO, and many more! Check out the full lineup below:
This year’s lineup brings a handful of genres that make this lineup diverse enough to draw numerous attendees from all across the states. The preparty for Thursday also includes 2 sets by Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and STS9, Lettuce, The Floozies, Papdosio, Minnesota, CBDB, and many more!
With a stacked lineup, here are a few artists that I believe you shouldn’t miss if you decide to make the trip to the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park this October!
Yes, they are a headliner, but this is the first time that the Seattle duo will be performing at Hulaween since 2015. My first time I attended Hulaween, ODESZA played one of the most intimate sets I have ever seen them perform at the Amphitheater Stage. Since then, they have been headlining major festivals across the world and selling out arenas. Don’t miss an opportunity to catch ODESZA (potentially) closing out the main stage one of the nights!
Heading back to Suwannee again after a killer set in 2016, Gramatik will be bringing some funk back to the festival. After embarking on a tour after releasing his most recent EP ‘Re:Coil Part 1’, Gramatik should be set to release the second part of the Re:Coil EP sometime soon. Don’t miss your chance to see some funky tunes with a trappy twist at the end of his sets.
Another duo who I have been listening to for a few years, but have known since I was in grade school. MZG will bring some funky and house tunes for everyone to dance to. Last year, they surprised the crowds with two secret sets (one with GRiZ in camping and one with Space Jesus at Incendia). Don’t be surprised if they end up playing some more secret sets this year, so keep your eyes peeled!
Manic Focus (live band)
Last year, Manic Focus absolutely slayed the Amphitheater Stage with the live band and had Russ Liquid sit in during the set as a special guest. After seeing how popular Manic Focus has become since I first saw him in 2015 has been quite the experience with him adding people for his live band and a plethora of lasers! His headlining show at the Riviera Theater in Chicago this past March was one of my favorite times seeing the live band. Hopefully he brings the same crew for the live band at Hulaween this year!
This year’s lineup brings an endless amount of talent and am excited to make my way back to the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park for another wonderful year! Be sure to plan ahead since tickets will move fast with such an amazing lineup!
