With A Diverse Lineup, Here Are Three Artists You Really Don’t Want To Miss At Common Ground

As if Michigan did not already have a stacked lineup for festivals this summer, Common Ground is back for another year in the heart of mid-Michigan. Hosted at Adado Riverfront Park located in Lansing, Common Ground has a range of genres all over the board. No matter what style of music you are into, you are bound to find it right here in the capital city, whether it be electronic, alternative, Hip-Hop, R&B, or even country.

In between the hammock hangout, vendors, and crowd of music lovers, two stages will host some of the biggest names. The electropop idol Halsey, whose name has been far from silent this past year, will take the stage Friday night. In addition, artists such as Logic, NF, Gucci Mane, Judah & the Lion, Hunter Hayes, T-Pain, Kevin Gates and several others will perform throughout the weekend.

But with a diverse lineup, here are three artists you really do not want to miss.

Børns

Garret Clark Borns, a twenty-six year old indie pop artist who goes by the name Børns. An artist who was actually born and raised right here in Michigan located in Grand Rapids. He has always been into the art of magic and visual art. After studying music in Grand Rapids, he relocated to Los Angeles where he was able to start his career. His music kicked off back in 2015 when he released his LP Dopamine, which consists of his songs “10,000 Emerald Pools” and “Electric Love”.

Jessie Reyes

Jessica “Jessie” Reyes is a twenty-seven year old Canadian singer. With her distinct, silvery vocals, she kicked off her career with her single “Figures.” The track hit number fifty-eight on the Canadian Hot 100 in 2017. She has worked with other well-known artists such as the electronic dance producers BLVK JVCK. As well as the rapper, most know as Russ, with their single “Basement.”

DJ Jazzy Jeff

Everyone knows the story all about how the life got flipped-turned upside down, right? In west Philadelphia? Jeffrey Allen Townes, known as DJ Jazzy Jeff, was born in West Philadelphia. He began making music at the age of ten in the basement of homes for family parties. Ever since, he has had several legendary moments such as working with his partner, The Fresh Prince, while releasing the iconic track The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He has won multiple GRAMMY and American Music Awards as well as the DMC Championship. He currently is still performing and playing music all around the world.
