The festival year is almost coming to close, but be sure not to miss Riptide Festival on December 2nd & 3rd held at Fort Lauderdale Beach! Another addition to the festival scene is always a welcoming site for festival goers and music fans across the world. Having had their inaugural 2016 lineup entertain 25,000 plus beach going music lovers, they hit the ground running and have no intention of slowing down.

Last year they brought together two days of artist serving to a multi generational audience with star performers that were sure to entertain to all who were present. Saturday catered to an indie crowd which at times is underrepresented on the music scene. Big name artist like Silversun Pickups, Dirty Heads, Glass Animals, and Saint Motel graced the stage. While Sunday was a tribute to the classics and bands that paved the way for musicians with headliners like Earth, Wind & Fire, The Fixx, and Flock of Seagulls.

This year promise to provide another well-deserved mix of indie and oldie. Already being referred to as a tribute to the 90’s the Riptide has another promising mix of legacy artist and upcoming indie bands. Saturday promises a mix of the 90’s and the now that is sure to leave fans crying for more. With bands Weezer, Cage the Elephant, and Portugal the Man headlining there is sure to be a mix of teen angst and the hard edged sounds of these legendary performers cascading across the pristine sand beach and the ear drums of thousands. After a night of indie rock and warm Florida nights get yourself ready for Sunday’s 90’s throwback lineup. Headliners like Boyz II Men & Salt & Pepper you will be left with no choice but to take a trip down memory lane. While KC & the Sunshine Band & Morris Day and the Time take you on a nostalgic journey.

So despite being the new kid on the festival block Riptide is a festival you will want to keep your eye on. With two years of powerhouse acts you can be sure that they will keep providing Ft. Lauderdale and all attendees a tremendous beach side festival.
