Dirtybird Record Label staple duo, Walker & Royce, returned to the Bay Area and you better believe life was given! Showing love on the San Francisco stop of their international tour in support of Self Help (their forthcoming freshman album), we were reminded exactly why they make us dance.
Shout out to Sam Walker & Gavin Royce for carrying the Dirtybird brand so gloriously. Just shy of one week after 2017’s installment of Dirtybird Campout, these guys seemingly facilitated a reunification of Dirtybird diehards. While decompressing in the best way possible, there was no place we would rather be than in a room full of other house heads, Dirtybird diehards, W&R fans, and Dirtybird Campout campers. The sea of bobbing heads, shuffling feet, and intensified faces reminded us that we are right at home. Those are our people.

As our favorite tech house kings delivered their very own signature dance-floor-slaying and bomb-like baseline bearing tunes, it was the inclusion of vocally charged tracks that officiated their new next-level production. Ramping up to all of our W&R favorites, you bet the house was served unreleased tracks that we are counting down the days (or hours) to have in our very own possession. With the fiery momentum of track releases from Self Help and rising to status of 2017 summer festival anthems, tracks such as “Take Me to Your Leader”, “My Own Thang (feat. Sophiegrophy)”, and “Rub Anotha Dub” keep us hungry for more.
Don’t lose track of the release day countdown and be sure to get your copy! Until then, here’s our current favorite W&R jam to hold you over:
