Weather aside, the festival was Slossome. Some fellow media guys were generous enough to help me out during Saturday’s rain storm. I linked up with friends from different periods of my life; it’s great to see they’re all doing well. I heard amazing new (to me) music, experienced different things, and met new people. I even interviewed a rising artist; one of the quotes is totally his. Shoutout to that other wall who was going ham the entire Waka Flocka set; HIGH energy. Ironically, I can still hear the small talk and jive conversations whether or not I’m wearing my EarPeace earplugs. Obviously people are people and you hear interesting things from G to X ratings. Enjoy.

“It’s not fair that guys have urinals.”

“I’m not gonna catch him if he comes this way.”

“You have to get down off the wall.” (Flustered security several times during Waka Flocka)
“A: What are they doing? B: They’re pouring iron.”
“I don’t know, just get fucking weird. Ya know?”

“I was waiting for them (Alabama Shakes) to play Redbone.”

“Oh my gosh, she’s so obsessed with what you’ve done with those glow sticks and your hair.”

The last quote shows generosity of complete strangers toward one another, a major reason why I personally attend festivals. More often than not you experience those times to still believe the good in humanity. Like minded people striving for similar goals; taking care of one another, listening to music, and having a good time. Hmm. Cogitate on those words. Thanks Sloss!!
