If you’ve never heard of the genre Tropical House, say no more. We’re here to give you the full run down on one of Aussie’s greatest DJ’s and inventor of #tropicalhousevibes.
With hits like “Rivers” and “Rise Up”, Thomas Jack brings an eclectic, cool vibe to all of his sets. Getting his start on SoundCloud, 24-year-old Tom created his hit podcast series in 2014, remixing tunes from popular artists like OneRepublic and featuring guests like Robin Schulz. His coined term, Tropical House, is inspired by a mix of deep house and acoustic rock. In other words, his tracks make you want to frolic on the beach at sunset while holding your best friend’s hand. Flutes, strings, and other instruments grace the presence of his catchy mixes. While we’re on the topic, here’s one of our all-time favorites.
Besides producing contagious dance tracks, Tom plays the part of dreamy surfer boy quite well. Beachside horseback rides and tropical getaways are just a few activities he enjoys. His Instagram is a dream in itself… Sign us up for a day in the life of Thomas Jack.
From Marquee in Vegas to The Armory in SF, Jack brings an energy like no other to the venues he plays. With his hair *literally* blowing in the wind, you can’t help but dance the entire time he’s on stage. It’s also important we mention his edit of Gabriel Rios – “Gold” is straight fire.
Thomas Jack super-fans are likely aware he played Splash House back in 2015. If you missed him then, now’s your chance. We can’t think of a better fit for this year’s party in the desert, going down the weekend of June 9-11 in Palm Springs.
