This Fourth of July weekend, indie, hip-hop, and dance music will fill the sandy grounds of Oakwood Beach. Just over ten minutes from Chicago’s South Loop, acts like Atmosphere, Milky Chance, Chet Faker, Hannah Wants, and many more must-see artists are making up what is bound to be a very memorable second year of Mamby on the Beach.
Though 2-day GA passes are sold out (pro tip: get yours early next year!), there’s still time to grab single day passes for only $69.50, and VIP weekend tickets are also still available for $299. Both offer you the chance to catch acts across all different genres, with the beautiful city of Chicago as your backdrop.
Mamby ends at 10pm each night, but thanks to a slew of afterparties, your night doesn’t have to. The Mid is hosting Tale Of Us and Recondite from 10pm-5am, Thomas Jack is playing at The Concord from 10pm-3am, Hannah Wants & Gene Farris will be at the Evil Olive from 10pm-5am, and Jerry Folk and Tugboat Edits are playing from 10pm-2am at the Cerise Virgin Hotel…and that’s only Saturday’s after parties! On Sunday, you can catch Loco Dice at The Mid from 10pm-4am. Tickets for all afterparties can be found here.
Everything from yoga to mechanical bull rides are open to festival goers, along with rows and rows of some of the tastiest food Chicago has to offer…just don’t get too distracted by the off-stage fun! A free app will help keep your festie activities organized, so you have the wonderful weekend you planned for. It’s jam packed with set times, a festival map, info on the after parties, and so much more. With only a day until the gates open for this feel good fest, I can hardly wait to dance around in the sun and sand with my festival family. See ya on the beach!
