Eric Schmidt and Bob Pittman are Amongst Many Luminaries to Speak at Further Future

After an award-winning debut, forward-thinking music and lifestyle festival Further Future returns this spring from April 29 to May 1 to the Moapa River Reservation 40 minutes outside Las Vegas. Following the success of last year’s Vision Series speakers which featured CEOs from SoundCloud, Zappos and Evernote, Further Future returns again with a coveted list of speakers to discuss the Future of the web, tech, music, health, media, cannabis, farming, luxury and life. Confirmed Vison Series speakers include executive chairman of Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc., Eric Schmidt, chairman/CEO of iHeartMedia and MTV co-founder Bob Pittman, Head of Product for Messaging at Facebook Stan Chudnovsky, research and data scientist Riccardo Sabatini, revered cognitive neuroscientist and UCSF professor Adam Gazzaley, and cannabis industry pioneer Jane West. Also speaking are David Eagleman’s partner, Scott Novich, co-founder/CTO of NeoSensory, and CEO of Luxe Guide Simon Westcott. Rounding off the Saturday afternoon talks will be a performance by Hauschka on a specially prepared piano.

Vision speaker series aside, Further Future has extended its program with a weekend filled with other panels, demos and talks addressing the core Further Future pillars: Music, Food, Wellness, Community, Technology and Creativity. Highlights include a keynote music talk and panel with CEO /Founder of Gigwell Digital Booking Jeremie Habib and Telling Stories with Light & Sound with CEO/Founder of Moment Factory, Sakchin Bessette, whose company is responsible for experience design for tours by Madonna, Muse, the Super Bowl halftime show and Cirque Du Soleil.

On the tech front, Robin Arnott will showcase the world premiere of SoundSelf using VR to induce altered states. Dave Hanson of Hanson Robotics will demo his creation of most the world’s most realistic robotic human faces and Ben Goertzel of Novamente will present OpenCog, the world’s largest open source artificial intelligence project. Wellness-wise there’s sunset yoga with Ally Bogard, group talk and one-on-one sessions with Max Lugavere discussing hacking brain health for optimal performance, and then there’s Robin Berzin, MD to talk about the confluence of wellness and technology.

For food, there will be a vertical farming showcase from local Las Vegas company Urban Seed and meet “wine diplomat” Felipe González-Gordon Terry, representing the fifth generation of one of Spain’s most celebrated wine families, and González Byass, who will be discussing Spanish Wines and the fascinating trend with Sherry today.

Last but not least, Gal Stiglitz will bring his insightful WOW Talks series to FF002, which will focus on the passion and inspiration behind creative pursuits. The talks will feature champion kitesurfer battling cancer Ruben Lenten, Zound Industries and Urban Ears co-founder Oscar Axhede, and Robodock festival founder Maik ter Veer.
