Could it be true? Are in person festivals finally back on the horizon?
BPM Costa Rica is planning in full force for a March 3-7, 2021 event in the jungles of Tamarindo. BPM just dropped their phase 1 lineup and it is packed full of underground house and techno heavy hitters. Returning to Tamarindo are artists like Nicole Moudaber, Paco Osuna, Dubfire, and more. There will also be many artists making their debut at BPM Costa Rica, like the deep and hypnotic DJ duo Bedouin.
The burning question at the forefront of festival goers’ minds is will it really be safe to return to events? And is it worth the risk to buy a ticket with so many events getting canceled? Don’t worry, the organizers of BPM have kept current events in mind and made safety a top priority while planning the festival.
As of December 2020, Costa Rica is allowing visitors from all countries. International travelers must meet three requirements to enter the country: a negative Covid PCR test within 72 hours of travel, a complete electronic health pass 48 hours before boarding your flight, and traveler’s medical insurance. Upon landing in Costa Rican territory, all international travelers must wear face protection and comply with all protocols of the air terminal with regard to social distancing, disinfection of carpets, temperature readings, and any other sanitary instructions. The most up to date requirements can be found here.
BPM Costa Rica has updated their ticketing and refund policies for 2021, keeping in mind that we are living in an unprecedented environment. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend the event, you have all the way up until February 24th, 2021 to chose one of the following options: rollover a credit towards a future BPM Costa Rica ticket, resell or transfer through your Xtixs account, or request a refund for 85% of your ticket’s value. Five-day passes are now available via Xtixs and three-day weekend passes will be available at a later date. More info on ticketing and travel can be found here.
It has been a difficult year and we are all missing spending time with our festival squads. We know that going into a new year doesn’t mean everything will reset and go back to “normal.” We also know that with testing, use of protective masks and safety precautions, and the release of vaccines across the globe, we can slowly start getting back to doing the things we used to love. We can’t imagine a better way to reunite with old friends than by dancing to techno under the stars at BPM Costa Rica.
