New Orleans knows how to throw a party, and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2019 line up proves they’re about to throw the best party of the year for their 50th anniversary!
The festival is bringing an eclectic mix of talent including The Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett, Chris Stapleton, Katy Perry, Santana, Logic, Earth, Wind & Fire and more to The Big Easy this spring. The line up also includes a multitude of great local artists, such as Better Than Ezra, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, and Amanda Shaw.
The festival will span two weekends, April 25th-28th and May 2nd-5th of 2019. Those weekends will be filled with historic performances, arts & crafts booths, and flavorful Louisiana cuisine. From its founding in 1969, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival serves as an event to highlight and share the vibrant culture of NOLA with the world. A culture that includes rich indigenous heritage seen through daily pow-wow performances. A culture with a heavy hand when it comes to cajun spices. Just wait until you check out the Cajun Cabin Stage! A culture that truly embraces artistic expression of all forms making New Orleans the perfect city for such an event.
With so much to do and see, Jazz Fest is a great getaway for just about anyone! The festival has been artfully crafted to evenly separate the amount of talent for each weekend, so I recommend checking out which one excites you more!
I will note, for the Stones fans out there, tickets for Thursday, May 2nd are $185 before tax instead of the normal $70 per day and are expected to sell quickly. You’ve been warned!
