Austin City Limits will take over Zilker Park for two weekends of epic musical proportions on October 5th-7th as well as October 12th-14th. This year’s event boasts some seriously noteworthy headliners. Sending everyone down an iconic memory lane will be Paul McCartney and Metallica. Recently, Childish Gambino, had to cancel his performance at the festival due to an ankle injury. Justice will be replacing him on the weekend. After returning to the stage for the first time in years, Arctic Monkeys will be continuing their 2018 festival run in Austin. Both ODESZA and Travis Scott have both also had pretty epic years on the festival circuit and will be headlining the event as well.

In addition to these incredible main stage performances, there are a plethora of rappers, producers, rock bands, singers, and other musicians taking the stage at Austin City Limits. Supporting acts like The National, Khalid, Hozier, David Byrne, Father John Misty, Chvrches, Deftons, Justice, St. Vincent, Disturbed, and many more will perform. The festival also recently announced that Lil Wayne will be taking the stage weekend two only.

Here are five artist on our radar for Austin City Limits:

Greta Van Fleet

Revered as the Led Zeppelin of modern times, this rock band formed in Michigan in 2012 but has been making recent waves on the mainstream festival circuit this year. The group is comprised of Josh Kiszka on vocals, Jake Kiszka on guitar, Sam Kiszka on bass, and Danny Wagner on drums. Their first studio album is set to be released this year. The first single off of it, “When the Curtain Falls” is out now.

BROCKHAMPTON

The boyband known as BROCKHAMPTON currently consists of the following members Kevin Abstract, Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, Joba, Dom McLennon, Bearface, Romil Hemnani, Jabari Manwa, Kiko Merley, Henock “HK” Sileshi, Ashlan Grey, Robert Ontenient, Jon Nunes. The group was originally formed in 2015 in San Marcos, Texas. Upon first listen, their song resembles that of Tyler, the Creator’s old group, ODD FUTURE. However, they have been working (especially with the release of their album Saturation III) to break away from these comparisons and define their own sound.

Bazzi

In 2012, singer Andrew Bazzi (known on stage as Bazzi) began posting covers on Youtube. In early 2018, his song “Mine” gained popularity after it was used in a meme generated from a Snapchat filter that used the tune. It then peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He will be joining Justin Timberlake on the European leg of his tour.

Lewis Capaldi

This Scottish singer song writer is one funny guy with a beautiful voice. I saw him for the first time at RiZE festival in England this year. In between laughing at his jokes about himself I was in awe of his smooth and full singing voice. In 2017 he released his BLOOM EP and has been on tour recently with Milky Chance and Sam Smith.

Bishop Briggs

Born in London, the singer moved to the Los Angeles after living in Tokyo as a kid and then attending high school in Hong Kong. She started to gain notoriety after her song, “Wild Horses” was found on Shazam through an Acura commercial it was used in. Her album, Church of Scars, debuted in April of this year and peaked at number 29 on the charts.
